I finally got my Swedish driver's license. After taking the test, which is worded horribly as I have previously talked about, I had to do the driving test. Now when I took my drivers test in the USA I had to do all sorts of things, parallel parking, hill starts and more. The Swedish driving test is pretty much just driving around like you are taking your elderly family member out for a drive around town. The hardest thing I had to do was back into a parking spot at a local grocery store.
So the license process is complete, it is valid for the next ten years and then all I have to do is go in, take a new photo and they will mail me a new license.
Feels rather silly after all the hoops you have to jump through to get it that they don't at least re-check your driving skill or even eyesight after a few years.
